The Wind Is Us chronicles the life of author Truman Capote from his days researching his iconic “non-fiction novel” In Cold Blood until his death in 1984. The play reveals how and why Capote’s life collapsed because of his most-acclaimed work, resulting in his premature tragic death. The play has run a number of times in the Aurora Cultural Arts District at The People's Building and at the Vintage Theatre.
The Wind is Us is presented in Denver, Colorado at the iconic Denver Press Club. In operation for over 100 years, the Denver Press Club is dedicated to supporting the principles of the free press and standing for the First Amendment, particularly during these challenging times.
The creative team behind The Wind Is Us as well as Act One Productions and Theatrix USA and committed to bringing quality live theatre to rural areas. Towards this important goal, The Wind Is Us will be featured at the Francisco Center for the Performing Arts in the amazing La Veta Creative District this summer.
